BEHIND THE LENS OF WHITE VINE
I’m Daniel; I was born and raised in Melbourne from a family of five with two brothers, one being my identical twin, Adam. Growing up with my twin as my best mate had pros&cons and the pros certainly outweighed the cons. Always having Adam around meant we never had to do anything alone - we always had this identity as the two of us, which was awesome, but also made creating my own identity later in life a little harder.
My love for photography and my journey started at a young age. At 15 I brought my first SLR camera. Back then I loved sitting with nature and witnessing its beautiful changes. The first sunrise photo I ever took is still one of my favourites (below). After completing my schooling I started and finished a Carpentry Apprenticeship, but not feeling fulfilled, I packed up and headed overseas to experience new cultures and new places. Although I’m settled back in Melbourne now and it has been 10 years since that first trip I still love what travel offers & represents - I’m inspired by humanity, uniqueness, individuality and the beauty I find in all people and the world around me. Being able to capture personality, heart & soul in a candid moment is exactly how others describe my journalistic style. I take on somewhat of a crusade when capturing a candid photograph.
White Vine Photography is me in a nutshell; Fun, Relaxed, Passionate, Honest, Loving & Natural.
Being brought up in a loving family has instilled what I see to be the most important life value 'LOVE' I believe this is one of the main reasons I've chosen to photograph love. Weddings are a celebration of Love, a connection so strong it’s shared with the closet of friends and family. It’s celebrating the togetherness of two individuals to create a whole.
Also along for this amazing life journey is my beautiful girlfriend. Alexandra works as my Assistant Photographer on your day - this helps not miss those cheeky little smiles or the happy tears which sometimes occur at the same time in different areas of the venue. Being able to share this journey together is so special and we wouldn't have it any other way.
